Ashutosh Das is a law graduate from Delhi University, Campus Law Centre, with a Master’s in commercial law having 17 years of post-qualification professional experience. He is having certification in IPR from WIPO and another certification for Arbitration and Conciliation from UNITAR, Geneva. His biggest strength is to partner with business and help them in creating a sustainable compliant business model. He has been instrumental in representing Industry during the formulation and implementation of Food Safety and Standards Act. Ashok Malu, born on 20th December, 1957 at Jaipur, is a Commerce and Law Graduate from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, New Delhi (FCS 2498). He did his schooling from St. Xavier’s High School, Jaipur. He is also a Life Member of the Institute of Directors, New Delhi. During his distinguished career of around 3 decades in the Aditya Birla Group (since March, 1988), he has held various positions as under: i) Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd. (Formerly Indian Rayon and Industries Ltd.) - as Vice President & Company Secretary from Sept. 1991 to Feb. 2001 ii) Grasim Industries Ltd. - as President & Company Secretary from Feb. 2001 to Feb. 2015 iii) Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd. (ABNL) - as President & Company Secretary from March 2015 till June 2017 (ABNL has since merged with Grasim effective 1st July, 2017) iv) Grasim Industries Ltd. - as President and was on deputation to Aditya Birla Capital Ltd. (Financial arm of Aditya Birla Group / subsidiary of Grasim) as an Advisor since July, 2017 to Dec. 2017 to oversee the Secretarial Functions Prior to joining the Aditya Birla Group in March, 1988, he has also worked with the Bangur Group at Kolkatta (1980 to 1983) and the Binani Group (1983 to 1988) Kota to oversee the Secretarial Functions of certain companies forming part of these two Groups. The said exercise was undertaken through a Composite Scheme of Arrangement as approved by the Hon’ble National Company Law Tribunal, Bench at Ahmedabad and the other concerned Regulators.

The Hon. Shira A. Scheindlin was appointed by President Bill Clinton as a federal judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and served for 22 years. Judge Scheindlin also served in the mid-’70s as Chief Administrative United States Attorney and Deputy Chief of the Economic Crimes Unit in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. She left to become the general counsel of the Department of Investigations of the City of New York. She then returned to the Eastern District as a Magistrate Judge for five years, followed by eight years in practice as a partner at two large New York City law firms, representing clients in both commercial litigation and products liability, in both state and federal court. Her experience acquired over more than four decades ingovernment service, private practice and on the bench makes her exceptionally well-qualified to assist parties and their counsel in resolving disputes through arbitration or mediation.

Swati Chatterjee is the Hon. Secretary of South Kolkata Sannidhya (Regn. No. S/IL/65353 of 2009-2010), is a member in the Panel of Lok Adalat, West Bengal Commission for Women, Govt. of West Bengal and the initiator of MAROMI. Over a decade, she has been working as a Psychological Counselor, Para-legal Advisor, Nutritionist & Dietician and a Life-skill Trainer. She started her journey as a Mental Health Counselor with Sanlaap, Kolkata where with her team; she shouldered the responsibilities of rescue and relocation of trafficked women and children, their re-integration with family members and overseeing the welfare of illegal immigrants lodged in the Presidency correctional Home, Kolkata. With a team of highly established professionals, Swati started her own NGO called South Kolkata Sannidhya. It focuses on mainstreaming of the survivors and victims of deformities arising from burns and cleft-lip palate, through medical and rehabilitative process. As Hon. Secretary of South Kolkata Sannidhya, she has arrange and attend several workshops, trainings, seminars, conferences, consultations on different related subjects including Disability, SHWWP Act,’13 conducted by at national, state and international level. She also networks with and is a member of Aman & OBR (International), NAWO (National) and Maitree (State level) to advocate against domestic violence and support women’s rights and hence lends active support to victims in distress. She initiated, MAROMI, a network of NGOs and individuals working with the medico-legal issues related to the violence against women. Swati applies her experience for policy-making exercises actively. She has been assisting different Government Departments in drafting policies on wide variety of subjects like – Violence Against Women (on the whole) specifically, Acid-attack, Domestic Violence and Sexual Harassment. Since 2011, and is a Guest Lecturer on the subject for the Department of Women Studies, University of Calcutta.
